Class Taught: Physical Education
I am entering my 14th year teaching Health/Physical Education. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Drury University and a Master's Degree in School Administration from Southwest Baptist University. I feel so fortunate to be able to share my passion for lifelong fitness and athletics with my students...I truly love what I do! Aside from teaching 5th & 6th grade Physical Education, I am also involved in coaching 9th Grade Volleyball and High School Track. My work schedule keeps things very busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
Outside of school, I have a family that keeps me on my toes. My husband and I have been married for 10 years and together we have 3 beautiful children. My oldest is a senior and plays football, basketball, and is on the Honor Roll. Our middle child is a 3rd grader and loves to write, sing, and create her own works of art. Our youngest is a Pre-Schooler and he loves anything and everything to do with race cars and race tracks! We have one family pet...a quiet and well behaved cat named Peetrie. As a family we enjoy visiting zoos, spending time swimming, and being at home together - which doesn't happen very often!
I look forward to a great year in PE at Oak Ridge...my goal is to make Physical Education a positive experience for all of my students...and to ensure that they know just how much I truly care about each and every one of them.
