Mrs. Vanita Blanton

After graduating from Northside High School, in Jackson, TN; I enrolled in college and attained the following degrees: Associates of Science in Agriculture, Associates of Science in Animal Health, Bachelors of Science in Economics, followed with a Masters in Secondary Administration from Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis.

I am married to a wonderful man since 1993.  We have a son and daughter, both whom are proud graduates of Camdenton High School.  Our family moved to the Lake in 2004.  I began teaching for Camdenton R-III School District that same year.  My position has always been working at Horizons.  I am currently teaching Biology, Physics, and Health.  Each year brings new challenges for not only myself, but for students and fellow teachers.  It is very rewarding to see us grow and learn as a unit, which is why I enjoy my job so much. 

With the formal education I have received I am naturally drawn to animals and the outside world. Being able to inner act on a one-on-one basis with any animal, domestic or wild, gives me a sense of fulfillment with Mother Nature.  Having found the thrill of riding motorcycles, my husband and I have been active with the Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association, giving back to the community by helping local Veterans and community in our area.
