• Hickory Hill representative speaks at Camdenton Diabetic Club

    March 31, 2014

At our last diabetes club meeting, Nate Wisdom, the volunteer program director of Camp Hickory Hill visited and sharedall the fun activities the camp had to offer. The camp is not only fun but offers educational benefits too. It gives your child some independence and helps him/her learn how to manage and take care of his/her diabetes themselves. He also mentioned that no camper is ever turned away for financial reasons. It is an awesome opportunity for your child to hang around with other children who are just like them. Everyone at the campis a diabetic or in the medical field so your child will be taken care of by experienced staff. If the camp time seems to be too long of a separation for you from your child he/she does nothave to stay the entire time. Your child may be picked up early. Please take sometime to consider sending your child. He/she will really enjoy and have a blast swimming, doing the zip line, climbing the 38 foot climbing wall and hanging with someone who is just like them.
