Mrs. Linda Esther

My name is Linda Danek Esther and I teach English Language Arts classes in the morning and Missouri Option classes in the afternoon and evening at Horizons Laker Educational Center.  In all of my classes, I strive to build student self-esteem and encourage understanding of others.  I try to create a classroom that is a caring, safe, cooperative, and respectful community in which all students are able to learn and grow in a positive way. 

 

I attended Drury University in Springfield, Missouri and earned my Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in Psychology and Sociology.  I returned to Drury University in 2003 and graduated in 2007 with my Masters in Education with emphasis in Human Services.

 

I am married to Mike Esther and together we have four amazing children.  Three of our children and their families live in the Lake of the Ozarks area and one in Jefferson City.  We also have four "fur" children that still live at home.

 

I am an animal rights activist and enjoy being outdoors, gardening, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.
