Teacher of the Week 11-4-16

Danny Stoelting, science teacher at the high school, has been named Camdenton School District Teacher of the Week.  Mr. Stoelting continually searches for ways to make learning meaningful for his students.  He recently scheduled a trip for Anatomy and Biology students to view the Body World Exhibit in Kansas City and tour the University of Kansas Cancer Research Lab.  Camdenton 2005 graduate, Dr. Christa Manton, Post-doctoral fellow at KU Medical Center, shared with students the path she took to get to where she is today, working in cancer research.  She and her colleagues also gave tours of the labs they work in and spoke about their current research.  These experiences not only help our students learn content, but also further their college and career exploration to help them succeed beyond high school.  Mr. Stoelting often goes above and beyond to help his students succeed.  Teacher of the Week is sponsored by Smith Law Firm and recognizes teachers for positive contributions made to the Camdenton students and District.
