    Mission & Vision

The Camdenton R-III School District has long embraced a comprehensive integrated approach to health.  The District believes that all people can learn and that the quality of learning directly affects the quality of life.  Health Services, a vital component of the comprehensive school health program, supports those beliefs and works toward the assurance that all students are healthy and therefore better able to learn.

The overall goal of Health Services is to improve, protect and maintain the health status of children to ensure that each student is in the best state of health possible in order to benefit the most from the educational experiences offered in the school setting.

The primary role of the School Nurse is to support student learning.  The nurse accomplishes this by implementing strategies that promote student and staff health and safety.  School nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that advances the well being, academic success, and life-long achievement of students.

A quality school health program does not just happen.  It is evident that this School Board recognizes the relationship between student well-being and student achievement.  Thank you for your continued support as we plan, implement, and evaluate activities of the district's comprehensive school health program.

This is an exciting time for our health services program.  The new High School Nurse's Office is the envy of all the other school nurses in the State of Missouri.  The district's nursing staff is very fortunate and expresses their deepest appreciation to the Administration and School Board for the facilities, equipment, budget and continued support that you provide in order for us to practice to the very best of our abilities, our specialty of school nursing.
