Students at Hawthorn Elementary come to the Computer Lab once a week for fifty minutes. During this time students take part in a variety of assignments. 

Keyboarding is a big part of the computer lab. Students are introduced to the proper typing technique. Students also are introduced to MS Office and completing their class work in such programs as Google, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Students are taught about internet safety and various methods of completing their research for class projects online. Every effort is made to make the correlation between technology applications and classroom expectations for completion of assignments.
