MU PARTNERSHIP FOR EDUCATIONAL RENEWAL  (MPER)

The mission of the MU Partnership for Educational Renewal is to collaboratively discover, develop, demonstrate, and disseminate effective standards-based educational practices.  Its primary function is to positively affect the major areas of concern common to the education of school-age youth and the professional development of the full continuum of Missouri educators.  As a member of the Partnership, each institution will participate in the formulation of Partnership policies and practices and will have the opportunity to be involved in all Partnership activities, to have access to all publications, reports, and other materials developed.  Major components of MPER are the Teaching Fellowship Program and placement of education students in school districts for field experiences.  Annual membership cost is $4,750.  The Board voted to apply for membership in the MPER network.

APPROVE CHANGE ORDER FOR STADIUM VIDEO BOARD

Due to testing results from soil samples at the stadium a redesign of the foundation was required.  The modified foundation will include additional steel and concrete to secure the board.  The information supplied by the testing company and by the vendor has been reviewed and the district is in agreement that the revision is needed along with the additional materials.  The Board approved change order #1 for the stadium video board as presented.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

In compliance with State Statute 610.021 (closed meetings and closed records), the Board went into Executive Session for the following purposes:

1)       Leasing, purchase or sale of real estate by a public governmental body (610.021)(2). 

2)       Hiring, firing, disciplining, or promoting particular employees (610.021)(3).

3)       Individually identifiable personnel records, performance ratings, or records pertaining to employees (610.021)(13).
