     I moved to Missouri in 2001 and I have enjoyed teaching in this district for the last 12 years.  I have taught special education, history, social studies and now, my favorite, English Language Arts!  I have three children and this is the first year that neither of them are in school here, (and my first year as an "empty-nester"!)  Anastasia is attending Columbia College here at the Lake, Caleb is attending Bennington College in VT and Josiah is a senior at Park Hill High School in KC.  When not on the road to watch soccer games in KC, I enjoy the outdoors through activities such as hiking, cycling, canoeing, running or simply getting lost in a good book in the back yard.

     I received my B.A. degree from Furman University, S.C., a Master's in Education from Western Carolina University, N.C. and a Master's in Religious Education from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft. Woth, Texas.
