I graduated from Northern Illinois University and taught seven years in the Illinois public schools.  Then I moved to the lake area and was a second grade teacher for 7 years here at Dogwood.  I then decided to stay home to raise my daughters until my youngest came to kindergarten.  I was fortunate to come back to Dogwood and was trained as a Reading Recovery teacher.  This is my third year as a Reading Recovery /Title 1 Teacher and I find it extremely rewarding.  I am proud to be a Laker!
