I was born and raised in Missouri. I went to school in Warrensburg where I received my teaching degree and Masters in Reading. I have taught 3rd grade for eight years, 4th grade for three, 2nd grade for six, and Reading Recovery for two. My teaching experience has taken place in Missouri and Illlinois. I can't believe this is my 19th year teaching. Where does all the time go?

I have three beautiful step-children (Nick, Amber, and Andrea). I haven’t been blessed with any children of my own, but I do have a puppy that I simply adore. His name is B.B. and I am sure you will hear a lot of stories about him! My husband, Paul, works at Old Kinderhook. My son, Nick, works at AT&T.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading books, getting pedicures, and trying new restaurants. I am also learning how to play golf. Right now I am hitting more dirt than golf balls.
