    Restaurant Skills is an introduction to the culinary and hospitality industry for anyone considering a career in food service. It offers a basic understanding of how restaurants operate in both the front and back of the house. Students will learn basic cooking techniques along with other topics such as safety and sanitation, dining room service, and much more. Communication arts and math skills will be practiced as they apply to the industry. Students will gain real-life experience by cooking and serving for school district events. Emphasis will be placed on developing skills for a successful job search and transition into the world of work. This class also includes the opportunity to pursue embedded communication arts credit.
