Reading Circle Program

                                  Pre K – 2ndGrade

Dogwood library is providing the opportunity for your Pre-K through second grade student to participate in the Reading Circle Program sponsored by the Missouri State Teachers Association.

The purpose is to encourage an interest in and enjoyment of reading. The Reading Circle Program was founded more than 100 years ago by the Missouri State Teachers Association, and it has encouraged countless Missouri students to discover a life-long joy in reading.

This special opportunity encourages your child to read/have read to them a variety of fiction and non-fiction books during the long winter months.  We have Show-Me award winning books, Mark Twain nominee books, and many other award winning books in our library.  Students may even check books out from the local library for this challenge.  If your child completes the reading circle program, he or she will receive a reading circle certificate from M.S.T.A.  It is my hope that your child will accept this challenge!
